Michigan Technical University is a public research-based university located in Houghton in Michigan. The campus of the Michigan Technical University is spread across 925 acres and overlooks the scenic Portage Lake. The Michigan Technical University was established in 1885 to train mining engineers on how to work on the local copper mines.

The College of Engineering

The College of Computing was founded in 2019 and is the first computing college in the state of Michigan. The College of Sciences and Arts

The College of Business
AACSB officially accredits the College of Business. The programs offered in the Bachelor of Science degree include management information systems, accounting, economics, finance, operations and systems management, management, marketing. The undergraduate program offers the students a unique experience called Business Development Experience, where they are allowed to receive real-life business experience in a controlled setting. The students can also opt to be a part of the business student organizations like the Applied Portfolio Management Program that is worth $1 million in stocks.
The College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science
The College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science is an excellent research program. The Ph.D. program offered in The College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science was ranked fourth in the entire nation by Academic Analytics in the year 2007. Sports in the Michigan Technical University
The Michigan Technical University has an athletic team called the Huskies, which competes in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The women’s basketball team has made everyone proud by being the national runners-up in the year 2011.
