KVS Recruitment 2020
Kendriya Vidyalaya is the largest chain of schools in India, all affiliated under the Central Board of Secondary Education and supervised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Every year it releases various teaching and non-teaching vacancies for eligible candidates.
For the recruitment process, a KVS Exam is conducted which is a written examination. The registration process for this exam for the year 2020, has already started in January. Candidates interested in joining Kendriya Vidyalaya have to submit their KVS TGT PGT Recruitment 2020 application form on the official website before the due date.
KVS Recruitment
KVS recruitment process is conducted to offer various teaching and non-teaching posts. These posts offered to the candidates include Officer Cadre, Teachers (PGT, TGT, and PRT posts), Principal, Vice Principal, and Librarian. Under this recruitment drive, more than 6000 vacant posts of teaching and non-teaching staff in these KVs are filled across 25 regions of the country.
KVS Recruitment 2020- Apply Online
The KVS PGT TGT application process is entirely conducted online. The candidates must go through the official notification before submitting online applications. The candidates are required to have a valid Email ID that will be registered on the official portal. All the important information like Application Sequence Number, User ID, Password and other communication details will be sent to this registered email. The steps to apply online are as follows-
- On the official KVS website homepage, download the notification pdf file names “KV PGT TGT PRT Teacher, Principal, Vice Principal, Librarian Notification”
- After going through the eligibility criteria, click on “Apply Kendriya Vidyalaya Group A & Group B Posts Online Application Form” and start the registration process.
- Fill in all the mandatory details and upload scanned copies of all the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the examination fees and submit your application.
- A system-generated ID and Password will be provided after successful submission which is to be used for future use.
KVS Recruitment Results
KVS Exam results are declared separately for each vacant post. The result is usually declared 2-3 months after the exam. KVS cut-off list is also released the same day the result is declared. The cut-off depends on the difficulty level of the exam as well as the number of candidates appearing for the exam. KVS Recruitment 2020 last date
KVS recruitment drive for 2020 started in January. However, the last date to apply is not yet declared and is expected to be announced soon. The KVS management has also not declared the last date to submit the application fee and the exam date, for which the notification might be released soon.
KVS Recruitment Admit Card
The admit cards are released 1-2 weeks before the date of the examination. A candidate can download the admit card from the official website by entering their registration/roll number and Password/DOB which is provided after the online application has been submitted. No hard copy of the admit card is sent or made available to the candidate by post and so the candidates should check the website regularly to not miss any update on the same.
KVS Recruitment Age Limit
KVS recruitment process requires applying candidates to fulfill certain age criteria which are specified for every post as the maximum and minimum age limit. A candidate must go through the KVS official notification to ensure that he/she comes under the prescribed age limit. The age criteria are as follows-

KVS Recruitment Eligibility
Interested candidates are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria prescribed under the official notification by KVS. If a candidate is found to be not eligible for a certain post, their application can be canceled. The eligibility criteria mainly adhere to the age limit and educational qualification of the candidate depending upon the post they are applying to.
- For PGT post, candidates must have completed their post-graduation in the respective discipline.
- For the TGT post, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in the respective discipline along with a relevant certificate.
- Candidates applying for the TGT post should also have a valid CET certificate.
- All candidates must have basic computer knowledge.

Candidates have to fill their preference zone for posting while applying for the recruitment process. These preferred zones are considered during the final selection and posting process. The country has been divided into 6 different zones for this recruitment procedure. These zones are as follows-

KVS Recruitment Online Form
KVS conducts its registration process online. The candidates have to visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya to fill the application form and apply for the examination. The application link is expected to be activated in January 2020.
KVS Recruitment Exam Pattern
KVS recruitment exam has two stages; the online written exam and the interview. It is an online objective type exam that contains 150 questions for subjects, General English, General Hindi, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs, Computer Literacy, Concerned subject, and Pedagogy. The language of questions is both Hindi and English. The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes. The exam pattern is as follows-
- Part I includes General English and General Hindi.
- The total number of questions is 20 (10 for each) with a total of 20 marks.
- Part II includes General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy, Pedagogy, and the Subject concerned.
- There will be 10 questions each for General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy for a total of 30 marks (10 marks for each section).
- There will be 20 questions of 20 marks for Pedagogy.
- There will be 80 questions for 80 marks related to the concerned subject that the candidate has applied for.

Q2. Is CTET necessary for KVS?
Ans. CTET is not mandatory for PGT posts while CTET paper II is required for TGT posts.

Ans. The age limit for PRT is 30 years, for TGT is 35 years, and PGT is 40 years. Only the candidates that come under this prescribed age limit are eligible to apply for the various posts offered by KVS.
