What are the types of Language Exams?

There are various types of language exams and for various languages but the most common and widely accepted are the English Proficiency Tests. There are various exams that test your proficiency in the English language. The most common are, TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE. Different countries prefer different exams.

TOEFL score is accepted by the universities in the US and Canada, while it is not accepted at many colleges in the UK. On the other hand, the IELTS score is accepted preferred by the universities in UK, Australia, and New Zealand. TOEFL

TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language. Standardized Exams

The standardized exam tests your skills other than language which are required for a particular course. Unlike the language exams, they are not compulsory for all the courses but only for which the required skill set is necessary. They are the academic criteria exams that are set by the university mostly.

GMAT

The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive test (CAT) that are used by business schools for admission to their MBA/ management programs. Therefore, GMAT questions are designed to determine if the test taker will be able to pursue a management degree successfully by measuring a student’s logical and critical thinking ability, along with mathematical skills.
