Electronic and Communication Engineering basically deals with, researching developing, designing, and testing the equipment that is used in various systems.
It is one of the majorly growing branches of engineering courses. The main concept of this course is to focus mainly on the communication part with the basic knowledge of the field of electronics. This mixed combination of electronics plus communication arose in around 1950s.

Purpose of Electronic and Communication Engineer
All of the basic daily life applications and machines that make our life easy are designed and developed by these electronic and communication engineers. Other secondary and important purposes include designing satellites which in turn bring a radio, telephone, television, and the internet in rural areas. Only because of ECE Engineers we can now video call people from around the world.
