Procedure to Convert CGPA to Percentage
Here is an example of how to convert CGPA to Percentage:
- First, add the grade points (GP) of all 5 subjects.
- For instance, the GP of Subject 1 is 9, Subject 2 is 10, Subject 3 is 8, Subject 4 is 7, Subject 5 is 8.
- Adding all the subject marks ( 9+ 10 + 8 + 7 + 8 = 42)
- After adding all the grade points, divide the total grade points by a number of subjects. ( 42/5 = 8.4)

- After finding the CGPA, multiply it with 9.5. This will convert CGPA to percentage.

How to Convert Percentage to CGPA?

CBSE has provided a certificate for the conversion of CGPA to Percentage. In the CGPA grade system, students are given grades based on the range of marks they score. The minimum grade requirement for passing in D grade, below that the students have to give re-exams. The student who has scored 90 marks in each subject will actually score 90%, but getting a perfect 10 in each, he/she would be a 10 pointer. Mumbai University(MU) has updated there CGPA to percentage conversion system. There are different point scale for different courses. For Pure science commerce, Arts, and other fields, there is 7 point scale. For Engineering streams, it is 10 Point scale.
