The CELPIP Tests are like other English language testing exams such as IELTS, TOFEL, etc. The CELPIP Test is offered and monitored by “Paragon Testing Enterprises,” a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia (UBC).

CELPIP-General Test
It evaluates test takers’ skills in writing, listening, reading, and speaking, and the Score can be used to apply for PR applications and professional designations. Its costs vary from country to country, and in India, it’s 10,845 INR + Taxes. The exam takes place in a single 3 hours test sitting with no separate session for the speaking part.

It evaluates test takers’ skills in speaking and listening, and the score can be used for citizenship applications and professional designation. The exam takes place in a single sitting which lasts for 60 mins. It takes place only in Canada and costs 195 CAD + Taxes. The listening and speaking format is similar to CELPIP general test.

Exams dates vary from center to center. A test taker can select the respective state and city to check for the next available test dates at the official website of CELPIP (Test dates in India). Celpip exam registration
There are three methods to register for the CELPIP exam:

Those who live outside of Canada and will be taking the test exclusively outside of Canada must register online.

- To make an online payment, you needed a valid credit/debit card.

CELPIP Test registration
CELPIP accepts registration in 3 different ways, i.e., online, registration through the mail, and in-person registration. But for those who do not reside in Canada have to register through the official website of CELPIP.

CELPIP Result
After attaining the test, you can expect the result in 4-5 working days at your CELPIP account. Your CELPIP score is valid for 2 years. During this period, you can access and view them on your official account. You will get notified by Email when the result is available on your official CELPIP account.
One can order a hard copy of the CELPIP score for 20.00 CAD, and you can also opt for express delivery by paying an additional amount mentioned by Paragon.
Re-evaluation of the CELPIP score is possible within 6 months of taking the exam and paying an additional amount. One can apply for one component / all components of the test. One should take care after applying for the test; you can’t request cancellation.

The CELPIP cost INR 10,845 + Taxes for registration. The test centers across India offer the slots throughout the year. Tests are computer-delivered, and hence one can expect the results in 4-5 working days. The CELPIP Exams are conducted on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
CELPIP Centres in India
CELPIP is offered across 70 test centers in 7 countries. The test taker should first decide where they want to take the exam. However, CELPIP General LS is only offered in Canada.
- The test taker must sign an undertaking form if below 18 years.
- You can change the test date and location before taking the exam.
