Founded in 2000, Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) is a privately-funded Christian institution. Located in Winnipeg, a city in the Manitoba province of Canada, the institution came into existence after the amalgamation of three different local colleges. In 1998, the provincial government chartered the institution to grant university-level degrees. However, by 2000 the institution began operating under Canadian Mennonite University and now prides itself on offering excellent academic and research facilities for its students.
Canadian Mennonite University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in various disciplines such as arts, science, business administration, mathematics, theological studies, languages, social service, music, psychology, media, intercultural studies, philosophy, etc. Currently, Canadian Mennonite University has up to 917 enrolled students, out of which 107 are international students. The student population consists of about 70% of students being from Manitoba and the remaining 30% from other parts of Canada and 35 countries.
To ensure the comfort of its students, Canadian Mennonite University has many facilities on campus. The university provides accommodation in a dormitory and apartment-style residence halls. Additionally, food services are available in the form of dining halls or students may even opt for meal plans. There are numerous student services to aid students in different areas of concern too. Lastly, student resources are available in the form of a student portal and university library which holds a large collection of printed and electronic resources such as books, journals, articles, e-books, e-journals, and databases.

Canadian Mennonite University Scholarships
Canadian Mennonite University offers scholarships and awards as a reward to capable students for past academic achievements and to provide financial aid. Scholarships are dependent on the academic achievements of a student. CMU scholarships are given on the basis of criteria such as the activities undertaken at school or for the community, student’s leadership qualities, etc.
Additionally, awards are given out in the program areas of Music, Business, Science, Athletics and Academic Merit Awards are also available. Students must apply for scholarships and awards in order to qualify for them.
