OBC Scholarship is provided to the Other Class Students in India and is categorized as economically and educationally unprivileged groups under the OBC group, representing around 41 percent of the Indian population. Applying for OBC scholarships through NSP portal

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for 2020 is a platform created by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Electronics and IT. This website offers SC / ST / OBC / minority students separate bursaries. For the schemes mentioned below, applicants can apply/register online. For details such as eligibility requirements, enrollment process, the renewal application protocol, necessary documentation, and other related material.

Step 1: National Scholarship Portal Registration

1. All fresh users need to visit the Home Page of National Scholarship Portal to register.
2. Click on ‘New Registration’.
3. A page of ‘Guidelines for Registration on NSP will open.
4. Go through the guidelines carefully

8. You will receive a student application ID and password on your registered mobile number.

SC/ST/OBC Scholarship

The aim of the SC, ST, and OBC scholarship is to provide financial assistance for IX and X graduates and rising drop-offs in the higher education sector. Students may register for the postal or pre-matric SC scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Post-matric Scholarships: The Post Matric Scholarship scheme is a federally funded scheme, which is enforced by the central government and the UT. The System provides financial assistance to students studying at Scheduled Caste post- or sub-secondary level to complete their studies. 

Pre- matric Scholarships: Pre-matric scholarship would facilitate the transition of school children to their education, reduce the burden of schooling, and assist their children in their attempts to complete schooling. The scheme sets the basis for educational success and provides an equitable opportunity in the dynamic area of work. The development of minority group socio-economic status by instruction, which is one of the goals of this program.

WB OBC scholarship

The Government of West Bengal recently declared a huge amount of scholarship to the students of West Bengal for their higher education. Therefore, these scholarships are only meant for students who live in West Bengal and want to pursue their higher education in West Bengal.

The students also obtain the chance to study in some of the well-known West Bengal institutes like IIM Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, IISER Kolkata, and NIT Durgapur. The scholarships include West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship SC/ST/OBC. For this scholarship, the applicant must hold a domicile of West Bengal and should be in 11th,12th, graduation, or postgraduation level, and the annual family income should be less than 1 Lakh.

OBC scholarship MP criteria

To be eligible for the academic scholarship, the applicant must be a resident of West Bengal, a college student from the graduation/postgraduation class in the SC / ST category. Be from a family whose income not surpass INR 2.50 Lakhs a year. The applicant can apply for the scholarship on the online scholarship portal i.e., State Scholarship Portal 2.0.

OBC scholarship Manipur

OBC students in Manipur also can use this scholarship in two groups, i.e., Pre- and post-matric scholarship. Classes I of Class X are classified as pre-Matric for students whose overall annual income of the household is less than or equivalent to 2.5 lakh a year.

The students whose overall annual family income is less than or equal to Rs. 1.5 lakh per year and who have completed their enrolment or pursued higher education fall under the Post matric group. Eligibility Criteria is that the candidate must be a domicile holder of Karnataka State. For SC / ST candidates, income should be up to 2 lakh P/A. Family profits should be up to 1 lakh P/A in the case of OBC and PWD categories. To apply for this scholarship, candidates must commit 75% attendance.

Uttar Pradesh Government offers different types of scholarships for the OBC students to help them financially. The applicant must be a UP domicile holder and should be a resident of UP. During the years 2011–2012, during the establishment of that department, the Kerala government’s Backward Classes Development Directorate began a Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC students. Pre-Matric Scholarship in Kerala will apply to students in governmental or aided institutions who are members of other backward groups (OBC) in Groups 1 through 10.
