Electrical engineering is a discipline which is concerned with the designing, research, and further applications of the devices, systems, and equipment utilized in electronics, electromagnetism, and electricity. In the latter half of the 19th century, it was well-established as a known occupation. Commercialization of telephone, electric telegraph, and the most important, electrical power generation helped electrical engineering in being a known job.

What is Electrical Engineering as a Subject?

One of the core courses in engineering in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineering deals with the study of the development, design, maintenance of the various electrical types of equipment and components. The electrical equipment is used in building and construction activities, as well as distribution and production of power. Aspirants of Electrical Engineering have to study about microprocessors and semiconductors. After completion of an undergraduate course in Electrical Engineering, the students are awarded a B.Tech or a B.E degree. After completion of B.Tech Electrical Engineering, the students can take up higher students like M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
