The tuition fees for studying in the top Universities of Canada are fairly affordable as the fees Range from 2 lakhs to 12 lakhs per year. The tuition fees for the second year of the Master’s degree, also called the continuing fees are lower than the first year’s fees.

Apart from the tuition fees Incidental fees(non tuition fees) and health insurance fees are also required. The Incidental fees for the University of Waterloo is Rupees 32,959.37. And the health insurance fees is Rupees 10,540. Similarly for other universities as well, these fees are required, which may be similar to the fees mentioned above.

What is the Cost Of Living in Canada in 2019?

The cost of living for International students are low in Canada as compared to the US.

  1. The city of residence, off- campus or on-campus residence also plays an important role in determining the cost of living.
  2. In Toronto, around Rupees 40,000 are required for the off campus residence, which can be shared with the roommates. Rupees 10,000 to 30,000 may be required for food and groceries. And another 10,00 Rupees for other expenses. These expenses are calculated per month. That means around 50,000 to 70,000 Rupees per month, and 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs per year.
  3. Whereas, in the University of British Columbia, around 14 lakhs are required for the cost of living including the tuition and non-tuition fees per year.
  4. In the University of Waterloo, an International student will need around 50,000 rupees per month on campus. And only Rupees 36,000 by living off campus but near the University, considering low cost for transportation.

The cost of living differs, but the overall costs are not very expensive considering the benefits a student gets. Also, there are ample number of scholarships available to the international students who aim to study in Canada. This reduces the pressure to an extent.

Also, the part-time work permit makes survival much easier and also helps you learn to manage your time well. Therefore, studying in Canada is not such a pressure as it might seem to be and definitely a lot more less than the other western countries.
