SPP Canada

Student Partner Program helps in quick and easy processing of the student visa which requires a few documentation only. The SPP Canada program aims to issue a higher number of Canadian Student Visa to Indian students and make the visa process well-organized and hassle-free.

The student does not have to apply for the SPP directly. The student can apply to the colleges who are enrolled in SPP and if the student’s application meets the specific criteria then he/she may be selected for the program. It is advised that you submit your application three months before the starting of the academic course. Before submitting the visa application, the student has to undergo a compulsory medical examination at the Designated Medical Practitioners (DMP) in India.

Eligibility criteria for applying under SPP for PG programs:

  • IELTS score of 6.5 and score less than 6.0 is not acceptable.
  • Maximum 5 years of study gap is acceptable except for the students with excellent results with a six-year of study gap.
  • A complimentary program must be chosen which will add value to their previous education.
  • Second Class of C-level with an overall minimum 50% score in their previous degree.
  • Receipt of tuition payment for one semester or one year.
  • Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from Scotia Bank, in the anticipated amount ($10,000 CAD) to cover living expenses for the initial year in Canada.

However, it is necessary for the candidates to be informed with the details of the application process to SPP Canada colleges to ensure error-free application. The most important element in the application process is the tuition fee. Getting the visa is a lot easier after the finance settlement.

Under SPP Canada, applying for colleges is simple with more focus on finance. Also, it is important to score more than 6 in the IELTS exam or else the application will be rejected.

Following are the steps to apply for SPP Canada colleges:

This Study Permit also permits you to work on and off-campus. Under the SPP Program, you can work for a maximum of 20 hours per week, alongside the regular study in an SPP College. Thus, you don’t need a separate Work Permit.

It is only after your Study Permit and course is over, that you need to apply for a Work Permit, often termed as the Post Study Work Permit.
