IGNOU stands for Indira Gandhi National Open University and it is a university that started after an act and is a government or public research university. The university initially was started with only courses which were: Diploma in Management and Diploma in Distance Education. With a start of over 4,000 students today the university almost covers 3 million students from different colleges and institutions which are affiliated under the name of IGNOU.

Today the university offers more than 200 courses and covers almost 21 schools, 61 regional network centers, 29 foreign partners, and about 2,500 support learning centers. There are a total of 810 faculty members present in the university among which 574 are academic staff members and the rest are administrative members all around the network. The university also has a network of almost 33,000 academic counselors placed across the network for every course guiding the students through thick and thin.

The IGNOU exam Fees for any course is of Rs. 150. The exam fees need to be given with the filling of the exam form before every semester or term exam. Students can fill the exam fees online through any Debit or Credit card or through Net Banking.

It is thus compulsory to fill the exam fees with the form, then only the university would allow the student to sit in the examination.
